Field Application Engineer
TXT GROUP, for its PACE ENGINEERING division, is looking for a Field Application Engineer.
The selected candidate will work closely with sales managers and the product management team.
It is essential to have previous experience in embedded software engineering, in the HMI development process and related standards, along with experience in project development cycles, preferably in the defense, commercial aviation, or industrial sectors.
The Field Application Engineer will be responsible for identifying and solving customer issues in the aerospace and defense sectors, proposing solutions using PACE's products and services. A deep understanding of both the business and technical needs of the customers will be crucial.
The role involves a certain degree of travel within the EMEA region, the United Kingdom, and occasionally the United States.
Main responsibilities:Serve as technical point of contact, become the customer’s trusted advisor and the PACE solutions expert; Provide consistent market feedback to PACE HMI Product Management.
Listen to customer’s needs, analyze their requirements, and architect solutions utilizing PACE HMI Product line; Create custom presentations and demonstrations of PACE products to match customer needs; Provide local support to customers and occasional consulting services; Manage the technical needs of accounts utilizing all available resources to effectively address customer product lifecycle needs; Develop account plans with the account manager, execute successfully, and increase PACE HMI market share with each customer; Represent PACE at trade shows and seminars.
Skills required:Good project management skills; At least 3/5 years' experience in software development and solution architecture; Experience in HMI or graphics development; Programming skills in C or C++ ; Good knowledge of written and spoken English, with professional language skills enabling business discussions at a high level; At least 1 year of technical experience in pre-sales.
Optional skills:Knowledge of a safety critical software development standard (DO-178C / ED-12C); Experience in using Python and Ada; Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Required qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar.
The ability to manage a team, customer relations and excellent problem solving skills complete the profile.
