WHO WE ARE
At IIT we work enthusiastically to develop human-centered Science and Technology to tackle some of the most pressing societal challenges of our times and transfer these technologies to the production system and society. Our Genoa headquarter is strictly inter-connected with our 11 centers around Italy and two outer-stations based in the US for a truly interdisciplinary experience.
In particular, In Bot (Industrial Robotics Facility - https://www.iit.it/it/web/industrial-robotics-facility) is an industrial research group dedicated to investigating cutting-edge solutions. Our main skill is robotic virtual prototyping design applied to several fields; this approach leads to improvements in research (more that hundred published papers), as well as transfer technology (by several patents and prototypes) and, last, but not least, grants prix.More than 20 projects in the last 10 years ended up with the developed prototypes installed into the industrial plants, as well as used as demonstrators in IIT.
YOUR TEAM
You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where mechanical, electrical, mechatronics and civil engineers and computational experts collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research. The Industrial Robotics Facility is coordinated by Ferdinando Cannella who has extensive experience in Industrial Robotics, Machine and Mechanisms, Mechanical Measurements, Biomedical Devices (Haptics) and Numerical Simulations.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and positive person to join us. We have built a team of roboticists dedicated to AI, manipulation, navigation and vision. We need now a robotic control expert to complete and link together all the skills of our lab.
