Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

The Venue Security Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all guests, staff, and assets within the venue. This role involves proactive patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment, responding to incidents, enforcing venue policies, and providing excellent customer service.

The Venue Security Specialist works closely with the Venue Security Coordinator and other team members to ensure the overall security and smooth operation of events and daily activities.

He/She will be involved in:

  • Conduct regular patrols of the venue, both indoors and outdoors, to deter and detect potential security risks;
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and other surveillance equipment to identify suspicious activity or security breaches;
  • Respond promptly and effectively to incidents such as disturbances, medical emergencies, and security alarms;
  • Enforce venue rules and regulations, including access control, prohibited items, and code of conduct;
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with inquiries, directions, and resolving minor issues;
  • Write detailed incident reports, documenting events, observations, and actions taken;
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the Venue Security Coordinator, security team members, and other venue staff;
  • Operate and maintain security equipment, such as radios, access control systems, and surveillance monitors;
  • Assist with crowd management during events, ensuring orderly entry, exit, and movement within the venue;
  • Conduct security checks of bags, personal items, and vehicles as needed;
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on security procedures and best practices;
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols and emergency procedures;
  • Provide first aid/CPR if trained and necessary, until more qualified medical personnel arrive;
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency services when required;
  • Perform other security-related duties as assigned by the Venue Security Coordinator or management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or training in security or law enforcement are a plus;
  • Proven experience in a security-related role, preferably in a venue, event, or hospitality setting;
  • Excellent observation, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with surveillance equipment;
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules;
  • Fluency in both English and Italian;
