The search is directed
towards a Senior Automotive Mechanical Body Design Engineer (Sheet
Metal) responsible for designing,developing, and optimizing sheet metal parts for automotive bodies, ensuring
they meet all structural, functional, and aesthetic requirements. The ideal
candidate will have a strong background in automotive body design, with an
emphasis on sheet metal components, materials, and manufacturing processes. The
communication within the Company is conducted exclusively in English,therefore, to be fluent in English is required. +3-5 years of
experience in the role is required. Employment contract: permanent;full-time.
Bachelor’s
degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced
degrees or certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
Minimum
of 3-5 years of experience in automotive body design, specifically in sheet
metal components.
Proven
experience with CAD software, particularly CATIA.
Experience
with sheet metal manufacturing processes, including stamping, welding, and
assembly.
It is
a plus experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and
crashworthiness simulations.
It is
a plus knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and
tolerance stack-up analysis.
Strong
understanding of material properties, especially related to sheet metal (e.g.,steel, aluminum).
Knowledge
of automotive safety standards, regulations, and design principles.
Excellent
problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong
communication and teamwork abilities, with a proactive approach to
collaboration.
