You will lead a high-performing sales organization that's obsessed with solving enterprise customers' shipping challenges. This role sits at the intersection of innovation and execution, where you'll shape the future of Amazon Shipping while delivering immediate results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end sales strategy and execution for your team
  • Manage, coach and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Drive customer obsession through deep understanding of enterprise shipping needs
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Legal, and Customer Programs
  • Deliver and exceed ambitious growth targets
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of sales management experience
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Fluent in Italian and English

Key job responsibilities
Lead with Vision & Drive Results
  • Own and shape Amazon Shipping's strategic direction in Italy as a key member of the leadership team
  • Set and execute ambitious growth targets while maintaining operational excellence
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to scale the business profitably
Customer Obsession & Business Development
  • Build and nurture C-level relationships with strategic enterprise customers
  • Drive new customer acquisition and expand existing customer volumes
  • Own end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring strong conversion rates
  • Deliver solutions that solve complex shipping challenges for Italian businesses
Innovation & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Operations, Product, and Tech teams to develop customer-centric shipping solutions
  • Influence product roadmap based on Voice of Customer and market intelligence
  • Drive continuous improvement in customer experience and operational efficiency
Analytics & Performance Management
  • Dive Deep into metrics to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements
  • Create and track KPIs that drive business success
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize team performance and customer satisfaction
Team Leadership & Development
  • Build and mentor a high-performing sales organization
  • Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and bias for action
  • Scale team capabilities through effective coaching and development programs

Location: Milan, Italy with occasional travel required

A day in the life
Morning
  • 8:00 AM: Lead daily meeting with your sales team to align on priorities, remove blockers, and celebrate wins
  • 9:00 AM: write a paper to share Italian market insights and growth strategies with EU Leadership
  • 10:30 AM: Meet with a potential enterprise client
  • 11:30 AM: Collaborate with Operations team to develop custom solutions for upcoming customer implementations
Afternoon
  • 2:00 PM: Partner with Marketing to develop targeted campaigns for the Italian e-commerce sector
  • 3:00 PM: Coach team members through complex deal negotiations and provide strategic guidance
  • 4:00 PM: Dive Deep into performance metrics with Analytics team to identify optimization opportunities
  • 5:00 PM: Strategic planning session with Product team to influence roadmap based on Italian market needs

  • Internal: Operations, Product, Tech, Marketing, Legal, Finance teams
  • External: C-level executives, Logistics Directors, and Supply Chain leaders from Italy's top enterprises

  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience with 3+ years in people management
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams

  • Experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles and strategic accounts
  • Demonstrated success in scaling businesses or launching new products/services
