Corporate indirect purchasing manager
Our client is an important Italian industrial company with several production plants and subsidiaries in the world, among the world leaders in its manufacturing sector. To strengthen its Purchasing Department commissioned us to look for a:
CORPORATE INDIRECT PURCHASING MANAGER
The role is responsible for leading the indirect procurement operations and processes end-to-end and the execution plan for materials, products and services. Ensures compliance to expected requirements, service levels and timely delivery while minimizing costs, achieving results and contributing to profitable and sustainable business growth, in compliance with the QMS and the other applicable standards.
Key accountabilities:
- Participates in the procurement strategy proactively contributing to achieve medium-long term targets by providing strategic inputs to enable profitable and sustainable business growth in the assigned area.
- Translates the Procurement strategy into operative programs, projects and plan for the assigned area, deploys effectively the relevant targets to ensure performance achievements.
- Ensures the procurement processes end to end and operational execution, supplier selections, qualification, third parties relationship and negotiations management, to achieve profitable and sustainable partnerships and to ensure the best solution and performance in terms of most cost-effective price, efficiency, level of service.
- Oversees and monitors the relevant procurement process, evaluates the alignment with the expected results, implementing improvements and corrective actions to reach the target, continuously benchmark similar environments best practices to drive procurement strategy in the assigned area.
- Leads all supplier management processes from scouting, selection to evaluation and monitoring, to build an effective and profitable partnership in alignment with company guidelines, policies and procedures and according to the assigned sourcing budget within the assigned area.
- Ensures that sourcing agreement be in place, reviewing and negotiating conditions, working alongside the functions involved, in alignment with procurement strategy.
- Ensures markets trends, benchmarks and KPIs analyses, monitors the activities progress, defining and implementing improvements and corrective actions to ensure the KPIs achievement in terms of the annual budget, strategy and plans.
- Defines the procedures and guidelines, accordingly with the leader above, ensuring cascading and implementation of them across the functions.
- Proposes budget for the approval process and manages properly and efficiently the budget assigned.
- Plans, organizes, manages, coaches and develops assigned staff, ensuring the effective talent management, career path development and training, drives commitment and engagement.
- University Degree in Engineering/Business Economics;
- 10 years of experience in Purchasing Department within international industrial companies;
- strong experience in the management of indirect goods and services procurement within structured international industrial companies;
- knowledge of purchasing processes, features, techniques and methodologies;
- knowledge of project management techniques, methodologies, tools;
- knowledge of continuous improvement and change management methodologies, tools and processes;
- knowledge of data analysis and performances operations metrics;
- knowledge of applicable legal requirements and specifications;
- knowledge of budget management and cost control.
Workplace: between the Provinces of Padua and Treviso.
Two days of smartworking per week.
