We are now looking for a
Site Engineer
to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Trieste, Italy.
What you will be doing
Site Engineer is responsible for executing the operative / administrative site activities related to commissioning according to the commissioning plan in close co-operation and under supervision of the Site Manager.The site engineer is one of the main figures in execution of all the activities foreseen for a site commissioning by actively collaborating with the counterparts of the shipyard.
As Site Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Responsible for the practical execution of the assigned tasks related to the site activities (administrative & operational)
- Responsible for planning, practical execution, and solution activities through the coordination of the internal organization of all non-conformities that may be found during commissioning
- Responsible for the technical-administrative part of the site, for the management of the warehouse, and for the management of incoming parts
- Diligent for the activity reporting and supporting Site manager
To be successful in this role we expect you to have:
- Technical background
- 1- 3 years’ experience of work in marine new built sector and proven communication skills
- Strong team working skills
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
- Practical experience from Shipyard or Marine installations, especially engines and systems, technical knowledge of propulsion and power production systems onboard marine and/or offshore installations will be considered as an add merit
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 80%.
