Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Reporting directly to the Crisis Communications Manager, the position will contribute in the development and implementation of the Crisis Communication Plan and will support the function in all media relations.
He/She will:
- Develop and implement the Crisis Communication Plan;
- Support all media relations activities;
- Supporting the press office of Milano Cortina 2026 in all the media relations and press release activities.
- Ability to work in a challenging professional environment;
- Previous experience as a journalist or in a press office;
- Proven experience in media relations at local, national and international levels, preferably in sports, major events, or nonprofit organizations;
- Candidates are encouraged to provide case histories or specific examples of past media campaigns or press management activities related to the position;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Italian, including the ability to draft press releases and official statements under tight deadlines;
- Capacity to work independently and proactively, while maintaining alignment with team goals and communication strategies;
- Good contacts in national and international media;
- Flexibility and dynamicity to work in a team and connecting with all the FA of an OC.
- Fluency in English and Italian is strongly preferred. Knowledge of additional languages such as French, Spanish or others is considered an asset.
- Experience in building and maintaining long-term relationships with media outlets, journalists, and content creators;
- Good knowledge of the Olympic and Paralympic movements.
