Information Technology Technical Support Specialist

Position Overview
The IT Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for providing a wide range of IT services, including user support across our offices in Sweden and Italy, managing local network infrastructure, and maintaining servers and storage systems.The role will involve configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing hardware and software solutions that support business operations, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). The Specialist will also collaborate with the global IT team to implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols, ensure regular system updates, and manage firewalls, antivirus tools, and data protection measures.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, including experience with network management, virtualization, and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving with different platforms and software including but not limited to VMware, Windows Server OS, SQL, Automa, Data Myte, Sharepoint, Azure, Windows Enterprise 10/11, Sophos, Qualys, Sumo LogicPosition Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for end users within the European time zone, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of virtual server environments, including system patching, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Perform application and storage capacity planning to support ongoing operations and future growth needs
- Assist the IT Partner in managing and maintaining the local network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and system performance.
- Collaborate with the Vancouver IT team to implement and maintain global IT standards, processes, and build procedures across the local site.
- Apply an understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (such as NIST) to enhance the security and protection of IT systems.
- Provide IT support at the local site/s, ensuring high-quality customer service for all users.
- Manage relationships with local vendors and service partners, ensuring contracts are upheld and services are delivered according to agreements.
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of related IT experience, preferably with exposure to global environments.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a proven ability to support end users effectively.
- Strong infrastructure skills and Microsoft Domain knowledge
- Hands-on experience with virtual server technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V an asset
- Network experience, managing switches and AP’s
- Familiarity with operations and warehouse management systems is an asset.
- Fluent in Italian and English
