Responsabilità:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial for the development of new processes and the continuous improvement of existing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating specifications, conducting studies, sizing equipment, and working closely with various teams to ensure successful project execution.If you are passionate about process optimization, innovation, and driving performance improvements, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Development & Improvement:
- Write specifications for assigned studies.
- Produce material and utility balances for operators to manage units and define material costs.
- Specify and size equipment/ installations of varying complexity, collaborating with relevant support teams as necessary.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to validate the feasibility of new processes or process improvements.
- Establish PFD (Process Flow Diagram) and P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram) diagrams, issue process descriptions, and create associated operating manuals.
- Perform preliminary safety analyses and participate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) reviews. Design and check pressure relieving devices.
- Train future users on the equipment installed and guide them through operations.

- Project Participation:
- Contribute to the implementation of new investment projects managed by the Technical Office.
- Participate in all project stages, from the design of new equipment to the calculation of variable costs.
- Design detailed specifications for equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering firms on outsourced services, validate issued documents, meet with suppliers, and conduct safety studies.
- Oversee the construction phase of projects and provide training to engineers working on the project.
- Prepare the Process Design Package in collaboration with the technical office.
- Set up test runs, define goals, prepare sampling and analysis plans, collect additional data in the field, and interpret results.
- Ensure timely equipment startup with the expected product quality and within defined production capacities.
- Operational Support & Performance Improvement:
- Analyze complex workshop malfunctions, provide troubleshooting solutions, and coordinate the implementation of corrective actions.
- Propose and implement improvements through the Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Implement best practices in all process studies.
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation for both existing workshops and engineering projects.
- Investigate new technologies in the market to enhance performance and resolve recurring issues in the workshop.
Qualifiche:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in process engineering, ideally in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of process design, equipment sizing, and safety analysis.
- Familiarity with creating and interpreting PFDs, P&IDs, and process descriptions.
- Experience with safety reviews (HAZOP) and pressure relief device design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience with R&D support and process optimization projects is a plus.
