Description
We are looking for a Senior Buyer based in Milan in order to join our Business Unit Grid Integration, which is specialized in electrical substations, power quality solutions, hvdc connections and e Mobility. This person will focus on managing contracts for products and services purchase.
Your responsibilities:
- Perform strategic sourcing work to manage risk and optimize the value/resilience of materials/services sourcing;
- Establish supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement goals/programs;
- Negotiate contracts and coordinate supplier integration plans with internal clients;
- Monitor market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing;
- Partner with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles, identify marketplace trends and define acceptable service levels.
Your background:
- Degree in engineering or economics;
- Fluent in Italian and English;
- >5 years of experience in similar roles inside complex organizations;
- Good knowledge of SAP is a plus;
- Proactivity and excellent negotiation skills are required.
