Your ‘day to day’:
As Electronic Technician you will be part of Manufacturing Department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna and will be reporting to Supervisor Technical Services. The position will be based in Bologna, Italy.
In your role you will be responsible for maintain and improve technical conditions of production equipment in order to achieve production and quality requirements, by respecting the health, safety, quality and production standards.You will perform electrical maintenance (preventive / planned / subassembly repairs) in compliance with relevant procedures, in order to ensure production equipment availability.
In addition, you will support Production in executing brand and format changes, to check and maintain the calibration of equipment according to standard settings in order to ensure equipment availability for production.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance to all PMI and legal standards, policies and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, Sustainability to prevent personnel, asset or societal loss.
- Participate in the Vertical Start Up for the digital, automation initatives and projects
Develop the digital and electrical control strategies to enable operators to respond to out of control situations and ensure that documentation is in place and used in the line(s) whenever out of limit situations occur.
- Contribute on the design phase of Digital and Automation Solutions/Products providing technical information about the current status of the factory (Master Data, hardware, software, firmware, etc).
Support deployment of new Digital and Automation Solutions with machine integration
Ensure effective change management for software and hardware among equipment types (i.e.: All machines of same type must have the same current best solutions implemented)- Support Asset Engineer/Tech Lead during monitoring and analysis of consumption of spare parts, costs, overhead costs in order to be in line with budget proposals.
Provide suggestion on identify gaps and constraints in the organization and implement appropriate countermeasures accordingly to minimize losses.
- Develop/review the training material for new solutions for the internal technical trainings in collaboration with technical department
Communicate in timely manner on loss elimination priorities, plans and responsibilities to ensure cross-functional alignment. Share knowledge and methods to encourage and foster benchmarking, reapplication and continuous improvement.
Take responsibility for the completion of own training plan and comply with the requirements established in the Qualification Matrix.
Requirements & Skills:
- Technical School (Secondary Technical School or Technical University)
- at least 3/5 year experience in industrial environment or similar activities (authorized electrician)
- Execute/Improve electronical maintenance cycles
- Advanced electronical troubleshooting
- Debug software, electronical, automation and digital system on the line
- Good knowledge about Simotion & Simatic PLC (Siemens) and Beckhoff Twincat V2 and V3
- Advanced electronical troubleshooting on: Industrial Sensors (optical, inductive, capacitive, laser, temperature), Brushless servomotors, Asynchronous motors;
