The Role You Play:
If you know art’otel, you know we like to do things differently. Our guests come to us for something that goes beyond their usual hotel expectations, and we’re looking for a Maintenance Manager who can help us deliver it. Your approach to the job will be inspired by your authentic style and self – always ready with care and attention, a sharp eye for details and a protective instinct.You’ll be on the lookout for anything that needs to be addressed, you’ll remember our guests’ names and you’ll make everyone at art’otel Rome Piazza Sallustio feel safe throughout their stay. In your role as Maintenance Manager, you’ll discuss and agree some key objectives with your line manager.
These objectives are designed to support the department’s goals and priorities. You’ll also take responsibility for your own development, embracing training opportunities that we offer, while learning from any challenges and mistakes along the way.
How you do it:
- You’ll make sure our hotel is always safe and secure from a maintenance point of view for all our guests and team members.
- You’ll conduct appropriate facilities inspection, including guest rooms, public areas, back of house etc. to identify any defects in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, FF&E and coordinate with contractors and vendors on any repairs or installation prior to opening.
- You’ll oversee procurement of hotel equipment’s and machinery and ensure all equipment’s are installed and in working order prior to opening. You’ll ensure proper maintenance of the equipment and physical assets of the company after the opening.
- You’ll ensure the hotel meets all safety and regulatory requirements including compliance with budling codes, fire safety regulations, and health standards.
- You’ll document and submit reports to the corporate maintenance Team regarding progress, time schedules and deadlines.
- You’ll recruit key maintenance team and coordinating onboarding, training and development to ensure the team is set up for success from day one and beyond.
- You’ll maintain and order parts and supplies whilst minimising waste and meeting our green initiatives.
- Work with the hotel finance partner to develop budgets and forecasts for the maintenance department.
- You’ll liaise with contractors and vendors and maintain good working relationships for ongoing success.
- You’ll create a preventative maintenance programme that creates a safe, secure and comfortable environment for our guests to enjoy.
- You’ll manage daily maintenance needs to ensure the right team is always on the right task.
- You’ll be flexible to react to ad-hoc duties where we have to unexpectedly pull together to get a task completed.
- You’ll recognise areas of improvement in your department to improve service delivery.
