Job Summary

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the overall logistics strategy of a company to maximize efficiency and productivity. This role involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and distribution of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Logistics & Supply Chain Management
  • Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to optimize costs and delivery timelines.
  • Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations regarding logistics and transportation.
  1. Inventory & Warehouse Management
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Implement best practices for warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  1. Transportation Management
  • Manage relationships with transport providers and negotiate contracts.
  • Monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely shipments.
  1. Process Optimization & Cost Control
  • Identify opportunities for reducing logistics costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Implement automation and technology solutions to streamline operations.
  • Conduct performance analysis and prepare reports on logistics performance metrics.
  1. Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and manage logistics staff, including warehouse workers, and logistics coordinators.
  • Foster collaboration between logistics, supply chain and production departments.
  • Train and develop staff to improve operational efficiency.
  1. Risk Management & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, customs regulations, and environmental laws.
  • Develop contingency plans for logistics disruptions, such as supply chain delays.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
