POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a bright, dedicated professional who will be part of the F&B Team as a Chef de Rang, supporting the Restaurant team and satisfying all guest needs and exceeding their expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Serves meals to guests according to the rules of etiquette; prepares dining room and server stations to fulfill this function.
- Satisfying guest needs and exceeding their expectations by projecting a positive hotel image through proper grooming, appropriate verbal communication, and taking responsibility of guest needs.
- Knowledge of all menu items and accompanying silverware
- Informing the kitchen of any special requests or needs (allergic to shellfish)
- Recording and passing on any useful information to the host/hostess such as special occasions, etc
- Know how to answer the phone and properly take a Private Dining order (also need to ask for turn down service during the PM shifts)
- Communicate with other servers or back servers to see if they need any help
- Keeping high personal grooming standards and maintaining a neat uniform
- Assisting in the setup and breakdown of special events and functions
- Completing opening & closing responsibilities
Qualifications:
- 2-year previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality sector
- Need to be competent in the use of Micros
- Knowledge of dining room and kitchen procedures helpful
- Good communication skills
- Excellent presentation and grooming standard
- Fluent in English and an additional language is considered a plus
