Service Manager - Defence
Join our client's team in Frascati (and from October, in the Romanina area, Rome) as an experienced Service Manager to oversee the delivery of services on contracts within the Defence sector in Italy. This role is crucial as the first level of escalation for any issues or requests for improvement, ensuring that all services meet or exceed Performance Indicators (PIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Our client provides specialized services across Europe in sectors such as Defence, Space, and IT. Their team works closely with public sector bodies, including European Institutions and the European Space Agency.
The role involves identifying new business opportunities and supporting strategic growth in the Defence market, reporting directly to the Head of Defence of Italy.
YOUR TASKSService Management: Oversee contract services, acting as the first escalation point for issues and improvements.
Reporting & Reviews: Provide reports and conduct regular service reviews with the customer and Head of Defence Italy.
HSE & Compliance: Ensure Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and compliance elements are met.
Operational Oversight: Monitor service performance, ensuring all KPIs and contractual obligations are met.
Team & Stakeholder Management: Lead the team, manage stakeholder relationships, and act as the primary customer interface.
Financial & Risk Management: Handle financial planning, forecasting, and risk mitigation.
Continuous Improvement: Drive service innovation, growth, and ensure customer satisfaction. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Italian mother tongue with fluent written and spoken English.Proficiency in MS Office and planning tools.
Secondary School or, preferably, a University Degree.
Extensive experience in Service Management, particularly in complex international projects.
At least 5 years of experience in the Military/Defence sectors.
Proven financial management skills.
Leadership and team management expertise.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
Ability to innovate and drive continuous improvement.
Flexibility to travel and work in a flexible mode.
Strong knowledge of compliance and quality management standards. EXTRA INFORMATIONPermanent employment contract within a stimulating and dynamic environment.
Work mode: 2 days in the office per week and the rest from home, subject to client's needs.Great career opportunities in the Defence industry.
Salary range: €45K - €55K annual gross.
