Technical Sales Engineer

Role Description

The successful candidate will also need to present product information, perform product demonstrations, and collaborate with the engineering team to provide the best solutions to customers' needs.

• Identify and establish new business
• Arrange client meetings
• Suggest products to customers
• Offer upgrades
• Present technical data and analysis
• Create sales presentations

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical advice and support
• Answer queries
• Demonstrate how to use new products and/or services
• Provide after sales troubleshooting for products

• Work with different departments, such as engineering and design
• Liaise with existing clients
• Deal directly with production engineers, maintenance engineers, and plant managers

Skills and knowledge

Technical sales engineers need to have:

• A strong technical understanding of the products or services they are selling
• Excellent sales skills
• The ability to translate and explain complex technical information to customers
• The ability to stay abreast of the latest developments and breakthroughs
