Ardea - Principal, Employee Relations Business Partner, Employee Experience and Relations (EXR)
They act as a trusted advisor who connects business challenges to ER activities and outcomes, partner with business lines on pan EUR employee and labor relations risk identification and mitigation strategies, support organizational change, and respond to emerging business and risk opportunities at EUR level.
They work in close collaboration with the Senior ER CF Partner, Country Field ER teams and respective Head of Country ER Leadership to deliver CF specific country insights and ensure that fair, consistent, and transparent employee and labor relations processes are applied across all CF operations.
They partner effectively with support teams for CF needs and do not think in silos moreover they are collectively ER custodians of cross boarder and cross business lines (BL) collaboration and communication. They possess significant employee and labor relations expertise, high judgment, analytical and communication skills.
Where applicable, they will support the BL to ensure Amazon works with and respects: the rights and experience of employees to establish and join internal employee representative bodies (ERBs); engagement in constructive relationships and dialogue and operational strategy in terms of ERBs and external employee representatives; the promotion, safeguarding and advocacy for positive relationships and experience with third-party delivery service providers to ensure the business has the maximum flexibility to operate and deliver for our customers.
Key job responsibilities
Labor Relations Advice and Strategy:- Design and implement BL-specific ER strategy
- Identify trends, mitigate risks, develop pan-EUR strategies
- Handle crisis issues with ER HOC and Senior ER BL Partner
- Provide timely advice on employee and labor relations
- Use data to develop persuasive narratives and recommendations
- Lead large-scale, network-wide projects improving frontline experience
- Deliver innovative solutions challenging industry status quo
- Develop engagement mechanisms for positive workplace environments
- Work independently in ambiguous situations
- Act as trusted advisor for ER business line relationships
- Build constructive relationships with stakeholders
- Produce high-quality written communications analyzing problems and solutions
- Seek learning opportunities and champion new ideas
- Reflect on strengths and growth areas, seeking feedback
- Lead authentically through self-awareness and transparency
- Build diverse network of leaders across the organization

- 1:1s with relevant BL leaders.
- Regular connects with field Regional HRM/HRBP teams.
- Regular connects with field ER teams.
- Regular connects with peers within and in other ERP BL teams.
- Regular BL specific ER meetings.
- EUR ER reporting mechanisms.
- 1:1 with Manager (cadence TBC in each case).
- Monthly connects with relevant support team stakeholders such as Safety, Compliance, Legal, Public Policy, Public Relations, PxT, Loss Prevention, TERA, Tech, Change Management, Internal and External Communications, ACES, and Driver Support and Experience. • University degree and at least 10 years of professional experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law with an emphasis on labor.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in at least one other European language is desirable.
- Labor and employment law knowledge.
- Possess strong change management, leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills. • Good analytical skill.
- Law degree / legal background preferred.
- Confident handling of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word) and HR information systems.
- Relevant post graduate education in human resources or employee/labor relations.
- High social skills.
- Flexibility and very good organizational skills.
- Fast comprehension and high judgment.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to travel 50% or more of the time.
