Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

The identified candidate will be involved in the following activities:

  • Create awarenessand represent the Volunteer Programme at every stage,managing allactivities with commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Responsible for developing with FA pre-assignment and assignment strategies for Volunteers, managing and monitoring Volunteer selection events and assignment outcomes.
  • Ensure system requirements for the development and implementation of the Volunteer Journey are correctly set, planned and tested, from application to games time.
  • Establish workforce systems set up for all relevant checkpoints (application, interview invitations and booking, role offer and rosters, uniform and accreditation), ensuring integration of different platforms and ICT tools for Volunteers, if needed.
  • Key contact person forrelevant stakeholders involved in the recruitment of the Volunteer Programme, defining SOP, preparing and delivering training and preparing necessary toolkits if necessary.
  • Superviseactivities of Recruitment Coordinators, providing motivation and monitoringlocal interviews outcomesto ensure correct targets are met or adjust them along the way.
  • Act as business partnerfor FA involving Volunteersand facilitate all related services and activities, monitoring progress on recruitment,scheduling and rostering of Volunteers.
  • Liaise with the workforce planning team, with a focus on recruitment implications and role descriptions.
  • Manage, recruit, and deploy test event volunteers.
  • Transitionto Game Times Workforce Venue Manager position.
  • Degree
  • 8+ years of proven experience in large scale events and excellent interpersonal relationship skills due to continuous involvement with Volunteers and other stakeholders.
  • System oriented profile
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural competencies
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Previous involvement in Volunteer Programme(s) is an asset.
  • Proficient Italian both spoken and written
  • Proficient English both spoken and written any further language is a plus.
  • Very Good command of Excel
  • Very good knowledge of systems
  • Familiarity with workforce systems is an asset
