Transition and Contract Manager - Defence
Join our prestigious client’s facility as Transition and Contract Manager. This is the only site in Europe dedicated to the assembly and final testing of advanced aircraft, playing a pivotal role in supporting high-performance jets for both national and international forces.
In this role, as Transition Manager, you will oversee, for at least the first 3 months, the seamless handover and technical transition of fire-fighting service operations from the current provider to the new operator, starting from the award of the tender (ideally from the 1st of October).The work location will be Novara/Cameri, and during the Transition period, you will be required to travel back and forth between these sites.
Once the transition is complete, you will assume the position of Contract Manager, overseeing a fully on-site Service Manager who will report to you. Ideally, you will be required to be in Novara/Cameri every other week for at least the first year of service.
YOUR TASKS
As Transition and Contract Manager, you will be responsible for: Overseeing technical aspects to ensure a smooth transition to the new operator
Document and address any incidents involving service provider personnelOversee operational documentation for vehicles and fire-fighting equipment
Assess the condition of the client’s materials
Track mandatory health checks, certifications, and any additional requirements for personnel
Review past service evaluations to identify improvements
Set up a unified KPI dashboard with Leonardo for all four sites
Handle any other activities necessary for a smooth transition. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Following skills and knowledge are required: Proven track record in Military/Defence sectors
Experience in managing contracts in complex environmentsSuccessful management of international projects
Leadership and team management skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Focus on innovation and continuous improvement
Proficient in financial management
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Italian
MS Office and planning tool proficiency
In-depth knowledge of compliance and quality management standards
A strong communicator and team player
