Assistant Finance Manager

Overview:

As Assistant Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and optimizing cost control.Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will oversee general ledger functions, reconciliations, budgeting, and compliance while contributing to the overall financial health of the hotel.
This position is based on property at Aman Rosa Alpina, San Cassiano Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy.
Responsibilities:

- Financial Management & Accuracy:
- Oversee daily accounting transactions, ensuring proper classification and recording in the general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of financial and operating reports, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
- Conduct variance analysis and reconciliations, ensuring financial integrity.
- Month-End & Year-End Closing:
- Ensure smooth month-end closing procedures, including reviewing subsidiary ledgers, provisions, accruals, and adjustments.
- Support year-end audits and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
- Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Implement cost control measures, particularly within food & beverage operations, ensuring efficiency without compromising quality.
- Assist in the preparation of forecasts and budgets, supporting the hotel's financial planning.
- Compliance & Tax Regulations:
- Ensure adherence to Italian tax authority regulations, maintaining compliance in all financial operations.
- Verify bank transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial documentation to meet corporate and regulatory standards.
- Fixed Assets & Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with corporate policies on acquisitions and disposals.
- Oversee inventory counts and reconciliations, particularly for F&B and store items.
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Languages: Fluent in Italian and English (verbal & written).
- Education & Skills:
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
- Proficiency in financial systems, reporting tools, and tax regulations.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in finance/accounting within an international luxury hotel.
- Experience with Italian tax authority regulations.
